Robotics
Four years ago, Carnegie Middle School students established the Robotics club and recruited a mix of students to participate. That year, the team made it to theUSC/Viterbi VEX Competition as a first-year, rookie team. Working through new experiences and many disasters, such as broken parts, the team was able to rank in the top third of the teams competing in the Long Beach Arena.
For the next three years, we have gone through new sponsors, mentors, and leadership. This year, we made enough funding to compete in the competition again!
This year was an extreme success for the team, we were one of the few teams to still compete in the end of the tournament. We were not chosen for the regional rounds, however we ranked highly in the Arena competition.
We hope to be able to rank higher next year with our newer students!
